Fermina is an Associate Attorney in the Litigation Practice area of the Firm, having substantial expertise in Intellectual Property, Administrative Litigation, Trademark Clearance searches and IP counseling.

 

She graduated with honors (CUM LAUDE) from University Dr. José Matías Delgado, and is Licensed by the Supreme Court as a Lawyer and as a Notary Public.

 

Fermina’s working experience includes serving as clerk at the First Court of Minor Claims of San Salvador, as well as in the First Commercial District Court of San Salvador.

 

 

In addition she has worked at the Registry of Commerce, particularly in the Registry of Corporations and Companies.

Later on, she worked as paralegal in the intellectual property department of a major Salvadoran law firm, where she was responsible of conducting clearance searches, filings, prosecution of trademarks, and drafting oppositions and appeals.

 

After that, she joined her father in a family owned law firm, where she had a substantial amount of practice in the fields of intellectual property, litigation, corporate law, wills & trusts, property law and civil law. On 2015, she joins the firm as an Associate Lawyer in the areas of Intellectual Property and Litigation.

 

As a law student, Fermina was member and captain of University Moot Court team, particularly within the subjects of Administrative Law and Intellectual Property. Furthermore, Fermina has completed several courses in Commercial Arbitration.
